New Nordic Folk - Cinematic and Immersive

The music of Stundom is Nordic in its essence: Inspired by the traditional dance music from their ancestors, mixed with the classical chamber music tradition and several modern symphonic elements. With the blend om violin, cittern and piano they create a cinematic and immersive musical experience.

Stundom started in 2015 as the duo Elmøe & Hoffmann, a part of the young, growing Danish folk music scene. Emma Elmøe and Villads Hoffmann knew each other from the neighborhoods of Vanløse, Copenhagen, and shared a friendship even before they discovered their musical bond. Elmøe & Hoffmann won the New Talent prize at the Danish Music Awards Folk 2015. In 2017, the duo were joined by Danish folk pianist Julian Svejgaard Jørgensen. In 2017, the duo were joined by Danish folk pianist Julian Svejgaard Jørgensen and changed their name to Stundom in january 2020.

Tailcoat is urban instrumental folk at its best!

The quintet has been called their generation’s new all star band of nordic instrumental folk music. The music is progressive and draws lines from many genres and traditions from all over the globe.

Their debut album Tall Tales in Tiny Pieces was released in november 2019 and has had great response. It has been played on swedish national radio P2 Klingan, and appeared on the swedish magazine Lira’s 2019 top10 folk albums list, and also on the danish Radiofolk’s top10 folk albums list.

Penny Pascal is a joy, liveliness and beautiful energy. The Scandinavian folk ensemble is a playground for the four promising musicians, who debuted with a 40-minute long one-take(!) live video streamed on the internet, and their debut album titled ‘Grand Voyager’ consisting of almost entirely original music, all recorded in one single day.
